Another day . . . .

. . .  another thank you card for my sister’s soon-to-be-ex colleagues. This one is based on the sketch over at Crazy 4 Challenges, and I’m really out of my comfort zone with all these patterned papers!

The stamp is from my stash, stamped onto watercolour card with Versafine Onyx Black ink. The paints are Zig Clean Colour pens, which are ideal for the tiny details of the stamp:

Rugby Thanks

My lucky sister is “retiring” early in a few weeks’ time, and wanted some thank you cards for colleagues. This is the first of a few I’m making for her, and I’ve based it on the sketch over at Two Paper Divas which I’ve turned on its side. A very simple card (usually best for men, I think) with a pre-cut image, some subtly-patterned paper and a few brads from my stash, with a stamped greeting to finish.

I’ve made a few cards recently with the intention of entering a challenge – trouble is, by the time I finally get round to posting the card on my blog, I’m  too late to enter the challenge! Not this time though – the current challenge over at Polkadoodles is “Things with Wings” and I made  a couple of cards recently which fit the challenge perfectly. Both cards use MFT stamps & dies, some vellum I’ve had in my stash for years along with some equally ancient sequins. The butterflies were stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn ink, then painted with Wink of Stella once the ink had dried.

One of my favourite challenges is Stamping Sensations, and their current challenge is “Anything Goes” so these cards definitely qualify!
