Last minute as ever, I watercoloured the images for these cards on Good Friday morning, finishing them off on Easter Saturday! The stamps are by Creative Expressions, painted with Cotman watercolour paints. The yellow cardstock was in my stash & the “ribbon” was, in fact, palms from Palm Sunday Mass.
I’m making this my third, and last, entry in the Flower Power challenge over at Stamping Sensations. I’m also entering into the Anything Goes challenge at Addicted to Stamps.
My brother & his wife celebrate their pearl (30th) wedding anniversary in a few days and this card is from my mum to them. I liked the sketch over at Retro Sketches so it’s based on that. I’m also entering this over at Creatalicious Challenges, where the theme is Ribbons & Pearls – plenty of the latter here!
The embossing folder is Tied Together by Creative Expressions, and the pearls are also CE. The numbers are a Robert Addams die and I’ve “blinged” them up a bit with some Wink of Stella which of course is really difficult to photograph but I’ve tried to capture it here:
I really liked the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch this week, so this was the basis for a card I needed to make for a decorator friend who turns 50 soon. I really enjoyed making this one!
The toolbox image is by Little Claire, coloured in Promarkers with shading added in coloured pencils. The red & dark grey backing card was plain white, edged in Promarkers, while the kraft cardstock backing was embossed with a mask by That Special Touch. The screw brads are by Creative Expressions.
The main text was stamped in various Hero Arts shades of grey & black ink; the alphabet stamps are really old ones by Club Scrap, while the rest of the sentiment was computer generated. This was the original sketch & I stuck to it fairly closely:
